PureShine Detailing (“PureShine”, “we”, “us”) provides mobile car detailing and valeting across Wembley, Brent, Camden and NW London. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it. We’ve written it in plain English because we’d rather you actually read it.
The short version: we only collect what we need to book you in, turn up at the right address, and do a great job on your car. We never sell your information to anyone.

What information we collect
When you book, message or call us:
- Your name and contact details (phone number, email address)
- The address where you’d like your car detailed (home or workplace)
- Your vehicle’s make, model and size, plus any notes about its condition
- Your booking history and service preferences
- Messages you send us by phone, WhatsApp, email, social media or through our booking system
- Payment details — these are handled securely by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
Automatically, when you visit our website:
- Basic technical information such as your device type, browser, the pages you viewed and how you found us. This is collected through cookies and analytics — see the Cookies section below.
How we use your information
- To provide your booking — scheduling your appointment, coming to the right address, and doing the job you asked for (legal basis: performing our contract with you)
- To reply to enquiries and send quotes (legal basis: legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us)
- To send booking confirmations and reminders (legal basis: performing our contract with you)
- To ask for feedback or a review after your appointment (legal basis: legitimate interest in improving our service and reputation)
- To understand how people use our website and improve it (legal basis: legitimate interest / consent, via analytics)
- To keep business and tax records (legal basis: legal obligation)
We do not send marketing emails or texts unless you’ve agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time by replying or contacting us.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses:
- Essential cookies that make the site work properly
- Google Analytics 4, which helps us understand things like how many people visit, which pages they look at, and how they found us. This information is statistical — it doesn’t tell us who you are.
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. The website will still work if you do.
Who we share information with
We never sell your data. We only share it with trusted services that help us run the business:
- OrbisX — our booking and customer management system, which processes your booking details
- Google — for website analytics (Google Analytics) and our Google Business Profile, where customer reviews appear
- Trustindex — the tool that displays our genuine Google reviews on our website
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you choose to message us there
- Our payment provider — to process payments securely
- Our website hosting provider — which stores our website data securely
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, it’s done under safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
How long we keep your information
- Booking and billing records: up to 6 years, as required for UK tax purposes
- Enquiries that don’t become bookings: around 12 months, then deleted
- Website analytics: kept according to Google Analytics’ standard retention settings
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that’s wrong
- Ask us to delete your information
- Ask us to limit how we use it, or object to us using it
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
How we protect your information
Our website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, we work only with reputable providers, and access to customer information is limited to the PureShine team.
Children
Our services and website are not aimed at anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect information about children.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
