We only collect what we need to book you in, turn up at the right address and do a good job on your car. We never sell your information to anyone.
Effective date: 4 August 2026

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it. It is written in plain English because we would rather you actually read it.

What information we collect
When you book, message or call us:
- Your name and contact details — phone number and email address
- The address where you would like your car detailed, at home or at work
- Your vehicle’s make, model, year and size, plus any notes about its condition

Automatically, when you visit our website: basic technical information such as your device type, browser, the pages you viewed and how you found us. This comes through cookies and analytics — see below.
How we use your information
- To provide your booking — scheduling, arriving at the right address, and doing the job you asked for (legal basis: performing our contract with you)
- To take payment — deposits at the time of booking and the balance after the work is done (legal basis: performing our contract with you)
- To reply to enquiries and send quotes (legal basis: legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us)
- To send booking confirmations and reminders (legal basis: performing our contract with you)

Card details and payments
When you book online you pay a deposit by card. That payment is processed by Stripe, a regulated payment provider. Your card details are given to Stripe directly and are never seen or stored by us.
Where you agree to it at the time of booking, your card is kept on file securely by Stripe so the remaining balance can be taken after the work is finished. You can ask us to remove a stored card at any time.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses essential cookies that make the site work, and Google Analytics, which tells us things like how many people visit, which pages they look at and how they found us. That information is statistical — it does not tell us who you are.
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. The website will still work if you do.
Who we share information with
We never sell your data. We share it only with trusted services that help us run the business:
- OrbisX — our booking and customer management system, which processes your booking details
- Stripe — our payment provider, which processes card payments and deposits
- Zapier — which passes enquiry details from our website into OrbisX
- Google — for website analytics and our Google Business Profile, where reviews appear
- Trustindex — the tool that displays our genuine Google reviews on this website
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you choose to message us there
- Our website hosting provider — which stores our website data securely
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens it is done under safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
How long we keep your information
- Booking and billing records: up to 6 years, as required for UK tax purposes
- Enquiries that do not become bookings: around 12 months, then deleted
- Guide subscribers: until you unsubscribe, or after 24 months of no contact
- Website analytics: according to Google Analytics’ standard retention settings
