What proper car interior cleaning actually involves
I’m Eman. Most people book this after trying everything else — a valet that didn’t touch the stains, a hire machine that soaked the seats, half a Sunday with a bottle of spray and a cloth.
The difference is extraction. A normal valet cleans the surface of your seats and carpets. Car interior cleaning at this level means the fabric gets a proper shampoo worked into it, then the dirty water is pulled back out under vacuum. That is what actually removes the mark instead of spreading it around, and it is why the results look permanent rather than temporary.
Steam does the rest, and it is the part of car interior cleaning most places skip. Vents, seat rails, seatbelt buckles, the gap where the handbrake meets the trim, the ridges on your door cards — the places a cloth cannot physically reach. Steam gets in, lifts what is stuck there, and kills the bacteria that most car smells actually come from.

What car interior cleaning fixes — and what it can’t
I would rather tell you this before I arrive than after.
Fixes properly: ground-in dirt in carpets and mats, spilled drinks, food marks, mud from boots and dog paws, sticky spots on door handles and gear surrounds, dust in vents, cloudy glass, and the film that builds up on a dashboard over a few years. Pet hair too — it takes patience and the right tools, but it comes out.
Usually fixes: smells. Most car smells are bacteria in damp fabric, and extraction plus steam removes the source rather than covering it. Smoke and long-term pet odour are the two that sometimes need a second visit or an ozone treatment, and I will say so honestly when I see the car.
Cannot fix: dye transfer that has bleached into light leather, cuts and tears, cigarette burns, and stains that have chemically changed the fabric colour — bleach, hair dye, some cleaning products. Car interior cleaning is not upholstery repair. If that is what your car needs, I will tell you and point you at someone who does it.
How long it takes and what happens after
Car interior cleaning at this depth takes three to four hours for most cars, longer for a large SUV or a seven-seater. I bring my own water and power, so I do not need anything from your house — plenty of customers leave a key and come back to a finished car.
Seats and carpets stay slightly damp for a few hours afterwards while they dry. That is normal and it is the sign the job was done properly rather than just wiped over. On a warm day with the windows cracked it is dry by evening; in winter, leave it overnight. I will tell you what to expect for your car before I start.
Which car interior cleaning option is right for you
If the outside of the car is fine and the inside is the problem, book the Interior Deep Clean on its own. If both need attention, the Full Car Valet is better value than booking two services. If the car has not had anything done for a year or more and you want it reset properly inside and out, that is the Full Detail.
Still not sure? Send me a couple of photos on WhatsApp — the footwells and the worst seat — and I will tell you which one your car needs. If the cheaper option will do the job, that is the one I will recommend, because a review is worth more to me than the extra fifty pounds.
